Joining The Chickadees!
Hey, are you a high-school girl who loves STEM? Then you should join us!
We are an all girls, 9th-12th grade, FIRST robotics team sponsored by Boise State University. Each year we design and create a robot to compete in an international competition. Other than having a lot of fun creating really cool things with a supportive team, why should you join?
Being a part of a FIRST robotics team can help with :
Technical skills like working with machinery, learning Java programming, or designing and wiring an electrical board.

Professional mentor interaction; our mentors are all very intelligent and talented with a lot of helpful experience.
There are a lot of opportunities to assume leadership role inside the team. The team
itself is leader as the only all-girls team in Idaho!
FIRST itself is a wonderful community to be a part of, but the Chickadees are even more special. We love what we are doing and we love who we are doing it with.
FIRST provides millions in scholarship opportunities, as well as rewarding experiences with STEM that can help you later in your professional career.
